World Entrepreneurship Day 2025 was celebrated on 22 August 2025, fostering entrepreneurial awareness and nurturing innovative thinking among students through engaging activities and discussions that inspired creativity, initiative, and start-up culture.
National Entrepreneurship Day was conducted on 10 November 2025 for B.E./B.Tech students, promoting a vibrant cross-disciplinary entrepreneurial culture by encouraging innovation, idea sharing, and collaboration across engineering and management domains.
Finance Club – The Grid Challenge (Induction Series) was organized on 23 August 2025 as part of the student induction activities. The event encouraged active participation and strategic thinking through finance-based tasks, enabling students to apply conceptual knowledge, collaborate effectively, and develop decision-making skills, thereby creating strong interest in finance-oriented learning from the outset.
I-MBA students actively participated in IDEATHON’25, held on 26 November 2025, demonstrating creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills by presenting impactful ideas and solutions, thereby fostering entrepreneurial thinking and collaborative learning.

Capacity Development and Skill Enhancement Initiatives To enhance the overall competencies and employability of students, the department regularly organizes structured capacity development and skill enhancement activities. These initiatives focus on soft skills, language and communication proficiency, life skills awareness of emerging trends in technology. A key highlight among these initiatives is “Word Weave: Mastering Verbal and Professional Communication,” a focused program designed to strengthen students’ verbal abilities, professional communication, and confidence for academic and career success.
Experiential Mock Interviews were organized as a value-added initiative to strengthen practical HR exposure and student employability. MBA HR elective students from the Department of Management Studies, Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology, conducted structured mock interviews for BE MCT students, simulating real recruitment scenarios. The activity involved resume screening, competency-based and behavioral interviewing, evaluation, and constructive feedback. This hands-on practice enhanced MBA students’ professional skills and HR role understanding. Undergraduate participants benefited through improved confidence, communication, and readiness for campus placements.
Kanmani R (II-MBA) successfully launched a start-up franchise, SK Logistics, under Mini Bharat Logistics Pvt. Ltd., marking a significant entrepreneurial milestone and reflecting strong initiative, industry engagement, and start-up readiness.
Students Ayswarya S, Ajay Stephen A, Priyadarshini S, and SakthiVijayan S actively participated and presented research papers at ITM 2025, held at Aditya Institute of Technology, showcasing their research capabilities, academic excellence, and commitment to scholarly engagement at a national-level forum.
