Towards fulfilling the above objectives, the Kovai Kalaimagal Educational Trust established Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology in the year 2001 following the general policy of the Govt. of TamilNadu to give high priority to Technical Education. The campus is spread over a vast area of about 26.5 acres and has 2.25 lakh sq.ft. of the constructed area which includes classrooms, drawing halls, laboratories, workshops and associated facilities.CIET is located about 25 kms from Coimbatore city, the institute has a very picturesque and serene atmosphere surrounded by green hillocks. In recognition of the quality system of high calibre being implemented for the administration of the institution and achievement of its goals.

CAMPUS
The College is well-planned and well-designed, built with more than 4 lakh square feet of constructed area. The aesthetically designed campus has ultramodern facilities with separate academic wing for each department, administration block, laboratories and workshops, state-of-the-art computer labs, spacious classrooms, well-stocked library, conference hall, separate seminar hall for each department, canteen, dining hall with hygienic kitchen, playgrounds, and separate hostel for boys and Girls. The College maintains high standards of education by providing a wide array of world-class academic facilities, employing highly qualified and experienced faculty members and creating an ambience conducive to quality education. The College offers the following 7 Undergraduate courses in Engineering, 4 Post Graduate courses in Engineering, and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A). The annual intake is 1110 students in all courses.
