ABOUT DEPARTMENT

he Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) was established in year 2007 in the Faculty of Engineering at Coimbatore Institute of Engineering and Technology with an intake of 60 students and now running with an intake of 120 students. The Department offers a comprehensive program leading to a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Students receive a thorough grounding in the basics of electrical, electronics and the design of electrical engineering with real time application in the due course.

The prospective students are urged to discuss their plans as easy as possible with the department faculties who mentors students individually. The Department's main objectives are to conduct internationally competitive research, and deliver high quality teaching. We see educating the next generation of engineers as a key role and our graduates are highly valued by various industries around the world. Our undergraduate is aligned to our research strengths and we are proud of the depth of analytical treatment and the specialized optional subjects we offer within our degree programme.

Our undergraduate curricula lead to the degree of Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering, and they are designed to provide students with a solid background in mathematics, physical sciences, electrical and electronics engineering.

A wide range of program options are available including electrical machines, control systems, signal processing, power systems, electromagnetic, renewable energy, power electronics, drives , and semiconductor devices and applications.

Now a day’s industries are having lot of changes because of technological developments and the same creates better environment to manufactured components. CNC machining is one of the widely accepted machining methods, which provides lesser manufacturing lead-time and accuracy to the components. Therefore studying the fundamentals, construction details and other controls are very much essential for the Mechatronics engineering students.
